I had a contract with Zunch to do some website work and optimization for me. My experience with this company was HORRIBLE. Man o man. First I had 4 different contacts because the first one quit the company, the second one handed my project off to another one after a few days. The next project manager was a complete idiot. I know this because they were supposed to be doing technical work for me and I have an engineering degree and worked in the hi-tech field for a while.
After I got rid of her, I got a new project manager who did nothing except make excuses. I paid this company and they failed to meet most of the terms of the contract. I asked them for a partial refund and they just kept stalling so I gave up. They have filed for bankruptcy so there's no chance of me getting my money back now. At least that's what this blog about them says. http://blog.searchenginewatch.com/blog/070427-152623 You can find the bankruptcy filing here.
I should feel lucky I guess that I'm not Juniper Media. Ouch. http://searchengineland.com/pdfs/070427-zunch.pdf STAY FAR FAR away from them. If you do some googling on them you can find lawsuits filed against Zunch Communications and or etal. I know all companies have lawsuits, but how many is reasonable? I'm not sure, you have to decide that for yourself, but I would have been a lot less eager to pay up front if I had taken the time to do my research.
The Better Business Bureau of Dallas has them listed as unsatisfactory as of May 16 2008 because they've failed to respond to 2 or more complaints. It shows 4 complaints with the following makeup on the BBB site. Contract Issues: 2 Delivery Issues: 1 Service Issues: 1 I wish I had searched on them before I paid them money. Live and learn I suppose.
