My husband and I I went into the one in irmo, SC. We were told that no we could not look at the model homes because they didn't own the lot anymore, so I guess the homes just sit there for nothing and we were not offered to speak with a sales rep. We just purchased a large tract of land and had really wanted to do a log home, however after the way we were treated here today we'll be building something else! Horrible way to treat people who take the time to come to your business.

After hurricane Charlie we decided on building our dream home. We viewed homes from Florida to The Great Lakes area. The one thing that stood out among the others was Southland's homes (models and owners) had no water damage sweeping through the walls. This assumed me that the logs were sealed tight for an energy efficient home. I also went to the Atlanta Log Home Show which was wonderful for gathering information.
It's been eleven years since we moved in, my wife had the pleasure of being in her home when she passed into Jesus' arms, our home was her happy place, mine also. This company was really great to work with, their support team assigned me a contact and he was so helpful in answering questions as they came up. I cannot say there was anything I didn't like in the building process and the eleven years I have been in the home.
Would I use Southland again, YES, YES, and YES. While I am getting close to retirement and the kids are moving out, I believe I can still build another one. I tell people who visit my home that every piece of wood they see I have touched at least three times. It was a labor of LOVE and I so enjoy this home. Thank You Southland. Excellent log home company. We spent a lot of time researching log homes and Southland Log Homes was by far the best. Southland had many log home plans to choose from. We were able to come up with our own design with the help of their log home specialist. We love it! Thank you so much, Southland Log Homes.

Stay Away from this company! Everything will be great in the beginning but once under contract and they have your 10% deposit and you are assigned a project manager, things will likely go down hill quickly! The lack of common courtesy and communication during the process is unprofessional and unacceptable. Find someone else or you will be sorry and fighting to get ypur deposit back after you dont have a builder and no log kit delivered! STAY AWAY from Southland Log Homes! BEWARE
